Paul Downs is a strategy and organizational consultant for public and social sector entities. Paul holds a Master’s degree in public policy from Princeton University and a Bachelor’s in Sociology from UC Berkeley. Prior to consulting, he worked for the U.S. House of Representatives and MDRC, a non-profit research and evaluation agency. In the educational field, Paul has helped developed strategic plans for the California Adult Education System and for the California Community College system, and has provided consulting services to numerous community college districts. He also consults in other fields, including environment, land use/transportation, and community building. He is currently the facilitator for the ALLIES coalition, a network of community colleges, adult schools, labor unions, businesses, and community-based organizations committed to best‐practice alliances to accelerate immigrants’ success in career and education.
