This study looks at domestically and internationally trained individuals, their demographics and employment status, as well as their understanding of and support through the process towards gaining professional licenses in Ontario. The study finds that while there may be information about the processes available from multiple sources, how to access this information and whether it is reliable is not always clear to applicants. The report recommends clearer, more constant communication from different levels of government sources and includes measures that can be taken by regulatory bodies, credential evaluation organizations, federal and provincial governments, and applicants themselves.
