The Community College Consortium for Immigrant Education’s initiative, the College Presidents Campaign, engages community college presidents across the country in CCCIE’s mission. Westchester Community College is so proud to host CCCIE and be part of this national effort to accelerate the success of immigrant and refugee students.
CCCIE works to help colleges strengthen their immigrant education programs. Since 2008, our member colleges and other organizations that serve on our Blue Ribbon Panel have come together to raise the visibility of immigrant education and training on a national level and champion immigrant integration issues as part of the college completion agenda.
Presidents for New American Success Pledge
Now more than ever we need to enlist other leading community colleges in our cause to support a multicultural and diverse student body that is vital for the economic, social, and cultural vibrancy of our communities and our country as well. Please join me in committing to CCCIE’s important work by taking the lead in our College Presidents Campaign and 1) signing CCCIE’s Presidents for New American Success pledge, and 2) nominating at least one community college president, like yourself, who will work to advance immigrant student success. As the president of Westchester Community College, I’m delighted to sign this pledge and support the action steps that are outlined.
