97th American Association of Community Colleges, 2017 Annual Convention

Join CCCIE at the AACC 2017 Convention where we’ll discuss best practices in immigrant career pathways, what it means to sign onto our Presidents for New American Success Pledge, and how your college can become involved in our work. You’ll hear from two distinguished college leaders, Dr. Belinda Miles, President of Westchester Community College, Valhalla, NY and Lee Lambert, Chancellor of Pima Community College, Tucson, AZ, who will discuss their colleges’ commitment to support immigrant and refugee integration on their campuses and in their communities. We’ll also discuss in detail the ESL, job skills, and career development programs that are making it work! Our workshop is on Monday, April 24, 3:30 to 4:30 pm. The AACC annual meeting, among the largest and most dynamic gathering of educational leaders, will feature multiple tracks, including college readiness and completion, the American skills gap, policy and governance, plus offers ample opportunities for networking, sharing, and learning from professionals in the fields of education, business, and industry, and the government sector.
