Having a foundation in the arts as well as education and psychology, Ms. Gaddy brings a diverse background of knowledge and experience to the student development community. She has taught for and directed Adult Education programs for 35 years in community colleges and universities in North Carolina, Texas, and Arizona. She also has extensive experience in writing and receiving grants and awards for best practices and demonstration projects in adult education, including the Secretary of Education’s Award for one of the ten best Adult Education programs in the nation while at Austin Community College in Austin, Texas.
Ms. Gaddy holds an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts and also Psychology from Western Carolina University, as well as a Masters in Adult Education and Reading for Two-Year Colleges from Western Carolina University. She is presently the Dean of Adult Education at Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona which includes overseeing the largest Refugee Education Program in Arizona.
